Last weekend, while camping, I fell and broke my hand. To be exact, I broke the proximal phalanxes of my left index, middle, and ring fingers – right near the knuckle line. Doc says its one of the nastier breaks he’s seen and its good I write code for a living and not wield a hammer or other grip related activity.

The hand specialist said no to surgery, but instead I am doing twice a week therapy. At each session, they are molding a new lightweight splint specifically for where I am in my recovery.
