		<description>hmmm... books are already lent freely to others. I wonder if this would encourage it. Perhaps make someone who was noncommittal more apt to try something since it would seem like a smaller commitment.</description>

&lt;a href="http://www.amazon.com/Shogun-James-Clavell/dp/0440178002" rel="nofollow"&gt;Shogun&lt;/a&gt; when I was a kid.  She cut the book  when she was half way through it.  She actually let her friend (my godmother) borrow the first half of the book while she was finishing the second.</description>
