New Music Roundup
The past week or so I’ve put my greedy little hands on a bunch of newish music, so I figured a quick roundup was in order.
- Wire – Object 47 – Awesome album. Can’t wait to see them on tour later this year.
- Beck – Modern Guilt – Meh. Not outright crap, but its definitely not getting a relisten any time soon.
- Booka Shade – The Sun and The Neon Light – Good. Not as housey as Movements. A bit more atmospheric.
- Cansei De Ser Sexy (CSS) – Donkey – Fun throwaway music.
- Girl Talk – Feed The Animals – I already mentioned that I think this is the Summer album of the year.
- Sigur Rós – Með Suð í Eyrum Við Spilum Endalaust – Its the same old Sigur while being something completely new at the same time. Good summery tunes.
- The Hold Steady – Stay Positive – I like the alt-rock sound but not a fan of the lead singer. Maybe on a second pass through?
